My long career as a researcher and ad-land story-teller has given me a rare window into the international world of creativity and the study of human behaviour.
For much of my working life, I have been a qualitative researcher and story-gatherer (i.e., focus groups, interviews, ethnographic studies), with an emphasis on uncovering enduring truths, identifying emerging trends, and predicting consumer and cultural change.
Psychology, the study of cultural and generational change and the wonders of the natural world continue to motivate me as an author.
My reading habits.
I’m drawn to biographies of trailblazing individuals, and I’m a sucker for immersive, atmospheric, dual-time-line dramas, be they commercial, psychological suspense, historical or literary cross-over fiction.
What other things are close to my heart?
Wildlife, early mornings, question-askers, post-it notes, travel, ABC talkback, Hard Quiz, pilates, elephants, dogs, scientists, Rod Stewart. Family and friends. (In no particular order BTW.)
